Liposuction is one of the most common procedures done in Plastic surgery. Most of the time liposuction has a high rate of satisfaction but at times, especially when is overdone, can leave contour irregularity and dents that can be very distressful to the patient. These dents are obvious stigmata of having had plastic surgery and the final result may be compromised because of them.

Unfortunately these contour problems are very difficult to improve: that is way it is always better to avoid them in the first place. Unfortunately, there are a lot of patients out there that have significant problems and they need desperately a solution.

Fat grafting has been the traditional way to solve this problems but the problem with the fat grafting is that some of the fat get reabsorbed. In fact up to 80% can be temporary, and only 205 permanent, therefore requiring multiple treatments.

With the stem cell fat grafting, it appears that the results are more permanent and there is an improvement in texture of the skin as well.

The fat is harvested with micro cannulla and syringes in order to avoid trauma to the adipose cells. Once this process is completed the fat is inserted in a device which washes up the debris and trough a complicated enzymatic treatment isolates stem cells from the fat and then concentrates them.

The stem cell can then re-injected in these defect caused by to aggressive liposuction improving the contour irregularities.
